T-Mobile Rolls Out New Pricing for Home Internet Plans – Technologist

Have you been looking for ways to trim your budget in 2025? Your home internet plan is a bill worth assessing.

There are deals to be had!

Non-traditional providers like T-Mobile are making a play for your business with affordable monthly payment options.

In fact, T-Mobile just announced that it has a new pricing structure for its internet plans that could land you home service for as little as $35 per month.

Let’s take a look at the details.

T-Mobile Unveils New Pricing Plans for Home Internet Service

Beginning December 11, 2024, T-Mobile will have a new pricing structure with three home internet service options.

The pricing on these plans is impacted by a few key components:

  • Whether you’re a T-Mobile wireless customer or not
  • Whether you are willing to sign up for automatic payments or not
  • The tier of add-on options you’d prefer aside from unlimited home internet access

The three tiers are called: “Rely,” “Amplified,” and “All In.”

If you’re a T-Mobile wireless customer who signs up for autopay, you can have the “Rely” tier of service for just $35 per month with no long-term commitment. And they’ll even “price lock” that to ensure you won’t see an unexpected price increase.

All three subscription tiers come with the guarantee of no equipment fees, no annual contracts, unlimited data, “simple” 15-minute self-setup, and a 15-day free trial.

And all three appear to give the same 5G internet surfing speeds, which can vary based on a number of factors as you are using their cellular data network.

Note: According to T-Mobile’s website, 5G Home Internet customers will see typical download speeds between 72 – 245 Mbps. T-Mobile’s speed projections are based on an analysis of internal and third-party data; you can find more information here.

So, with browsing speed and contract terms seemingly the same between all three tiers, you’ll find that the price difference is on additional items like cyber security and included video streaming service subscriptions.

Here’s a breakdown of the new pricing structure and an overview of what each subscription tier offers:

Is T-Mobile 5G Internet Service Worth It?

You may see these new pricing details and wonder if this service is worth trying at your home.

Team Clark’s Dallas broke down all the details on this service. She said the speeds aren’t top-notch, but that might not be a deal-breaker for some people who just need the basics at a reasonable price.

Her advice is to ask yourself the following questions:

  • Is T-Mobile 5G Home Internet available in your area?
  • Can you get by with slower data speeds?
  • Have you compared plan prices available in your area?

She says if you can answer “yes” to each of these questions, T-Mobile 5G Home Internet may be worth considering.

“Keep in mind that a fixed wireless service like this will offer slower data speeds on average than standard internet plans,” Dallas wrote. “But if it’s the best/only deal available at your address (or if you don’t need lightning-fast download speeds) it could be the perfect plan.”
