10 Best New Products at Costco in September – Technologist

It is no secret that money expert Clark Howard loves all things Costco. It is easy to see why with staples like their Tire Center and Optical Department as well as a constant array of new inventory.

As a superfan of Costco myself, I love walking through the store and discovering fresh, new products. Sometimes, these products are from top-name brands. Sometimes, they are from small, local companies. Regardless, it is all part of the fun.

New Products at Costco This Month

Each month, I will take a look at the newest Costco products. While the majority will be under $100, I will let you know if I find a particularly good deal.

Remember: Costco products are not guaranteed to be there from month to month, so if you discover a new product that you can’t live without, snag it.

With back-to-school happening now and the holidays around the corner, I am showcasing new items that would be great for today and the months ahead.

Puma Challenger Backpack

Why I chose this:

With back-to-school in full swing, this Puma backpack does it all. It has several zippered pockets, a weather-resistant coating on the bottom, and even a water bottle holder.

I recommend purchasing this in-club for $29.99. If you buy online, shipping is included, but you will pay $10 more.

Shark WandVac Pet Cord-Free Handheld Vacuum

Why I chose this:

Always follow the people. As I was in my club checking out the new items for the month and taking a few videos for our YouTube channel, I was stopped twice by people asking me about this vacuum.

While I do not know much about this exact item, I have been very happy with another Shark vacuum that I own and use daily. This model seems similar — excellent suction power, lightweight, and portable. This looks like a great deal, especially with Costco’s promo for $20 off.

Ninja Foodi PossibleCooker PRO 8.5-Quart Multi-Cooker

Why I chose this:

With the feeling of fall starting to enter the landscape, the ideas of soups, stews, sauces, and chili cooking fill your heart with warmth. This multi-cooker does it all. You can saute, steam, and even roast in it.

With a whopping 8 cooking functions and the ability to withstand oven temperatures up to 500 degrees, this multi-cooker is a steal. Priced at $99.99 online, including shipping, and even cheaper at $89.99 in-club, it’s a cost-effective addition to your kitchen.

Sur La Table Digital Kettle with Infuser

Why I chose this:

If you are a tea drinker like I am, check this out. I was pretty impressed. It has 7 tea presets, can hold 60 oz of water, and has an infuser to give you the perfect amount of flavor in every cup.

This is a decent price point: $29.99 in-club or $34.99 online. Amazon is selling the same for $42.10.

Munchkin Toddler Dining Set 9-Piece

Why I chose this:

Costco is selling this 9-piece dining set for toddlers. It comes with three plates, three bowls, and three cups, all with a non-slip bottom. What appealed to the eye was the vibrant colors and the fact that they can be nested together to make storage easy.

These are an in-club exclusive, priced at a budget-friendly $19.99. I spoke to an associate at my store, and they mentioned that our club currently offers green and blue colors. However, some other local clubs have a wider range of color varieties to choose from, ensuring you find the perfect set for your toddler without overspending.

Timber Ridge Folding Director’s Chair 2-Pack

Why I chose this:

After some research, I found that Costco sells two variations of this chair: a heated version and a non-heated version. I had the pleasure of sitting in one of them in the club. It was very comfortable, and I wish the heated version was activated. That would have been cool to experience.

What I loved most is the portability as it unfolded in less than a second. These come with a folding side table that contains a cup holder and a cellphone holder. It is the perfect chair to take to those fall football games. And the best part? The price online is $99.99 for the 2 pack and in-club they are $79.99 for 2, making them a budget-friendly choice.

Kirkland Signature Organic Golden Maple 25 OZ

Why I chose this:

Several people emailed me last year asking if I knew about this maple syrup or why I didn’t talk about it. Truthfully, I did not know that it held any significance or was even a new item. Costco makes a limited run of these special organic maple syrups every year. When I was reading the bottles, I noticed they are specially marked “crop 2024” and are certified organic by the USDA.

While they have these yearly, I can technically consider this a new item as you can only obtain this year’s crop for a limited time and cannot get it again.

I did have a chance to speak with an associate and was informed that once this pallet was gone, it would not be restocked. This is an in-club-only item and will sell out fast.

Miracle-Gro Kid’s Gardening Tool Set W/Flower/Vegetable Seeds

Why I chose this:

This was a new item at Costco toward the beginning of summer, but I felt the price point could have been more impressive. I decided to share this now for a couple of reasons. First, this is a 23-piece set for kids ages three and up. If you love working in the garden and have little ones with you, this is a great way to expose them to gardening with tools they can use. The kit includes many items like an apron, deeds, watering can, gloves, and more!

This is an in-club-only item at this time, and my local store was selling it for $9.97. Not only was it a great deal, but there was an asterisk on the tag. This usually means that an item will most likely not be restocked and is not being reordered. The price also ended in .97, which signals that it is a special markdown to clear out a product.

This would be a great gift to snag now for the upcoming holidays. It’s perfect to give as a gift and use next spring/summer.

5’ LED Penguin with Candy Cane

Why I chose this:

I wanted to showcase an item at a great value that you could purchase now in preparation for the upcoming holiday season. This is it! This 5-foot penguin is adorable, and seeing it in person proved how mammoth it is.

When it comes to value, always remember to check the in-club and online prices. This 5-foot penguin sells for $229.99 online but is an even bigger bargain at $129.99 in-club. That’s a whopping $100 in savings! And don’t worry about the size of the box—it’s a manageable 20 lbs and can be easily transported in a shopping cart.

What can you do with the $100 savings? It would pay for your Gold Star membership for the year and approximately 15 hot dog and soda combos. Check out the in-club and online prices before making a purchase.

Vacaville Fruit Company, Dried Fruit & Nut & Confection Bamboo Snowman Tray, 43 oz.

Why I chose this:

This adorable charcuterie has it all. A little sweet, a little salty, and a little whimsy. This 43 oz tray comes with plums, peaches, mangoes, almonds, and more, all with a reusable snowman-shaped cutting board.

This is a new item for September and is online only. Be sure to snag it now for your upcoming holiday festivities.
