Philo Expands Free Streaming Options with Warner Bros. Channels – Technologist

Are you skipping live TV subscriptions and getting your entertainment from free streaming TV instead? Money expert Clark Howard would be proud of your frugal ways.

And, oddly enough, it’s subscription-based live TV services like Philo that are making things easier on your wallet these days.

The value-based live streaming service just announced it is adding 14 new channels to its quickly expanding free ad-supported TV (FAST) menu. This includes 11 new channels produced by Warner Bros. Discovery.

We recently reported that the “free” version of Philo now has more than 100 channels. Impressive!

Presumably, Philo is now offering a large selection of free channels to get you into their ecosystem in hopes that you’ll be inclined to subscribe to their Core package, which costs $28 per month. A similar strategy is being implemented by competitors Sling and DirecTV, which are now offering free access to FAST channels on their platforms as well.

14 New FAST Channels Added to Philo’s Expanding Free Menu

Philo expanded its freebie offering by adding 14 new FAST channels in November 2024.

This includes 11 new channels from Warner Bros. Discovery and three new live sports and gaming channels.

Here’s a quick rundown of the channels that are now available for free on Philo, with a brief description of each provided by the streaming service:
