Philo Now Offers More Than 100 Free Streaming TV Channels – Technologist
You probably know Philo as a cost-effective live TV streaming service.
At $28 per month, the service’s “Core” subscription offers access to more than 70 pay channels, including popular ones like A&E, HGTV, AMC, TLC and more. Money expert Clark Howard says it’s one of the top budget-conscious choices for streamers who don’t care much about local channels or live sports.
But did you know that Philo also has been growing its collection of free streaming TV channels as well?
Similar to how Sling TV uses Sling Freestream to lure in potential customers, Philo has amassed more than 100 free ad-supported (FAST) channels on its platform that are available to watch without paying them a dime.
How To Access More Than 100 Free Channels via Philo
When you think of free streaming TV, you may think of popular brands like Tubi TV, Pluto TV or The Roku Channel.
But you may want to shift your way of thinking on that market segment. Streaming services that are typically known for their paid subscription tiers have been building out free offerings of their own.
Philo has been working on their FAST offerings for months, and recently announced they hit a milestone of 100 free channels available on their app or website.
This includes channels from a variety of genres, including reality, movies, drama, games, sports and news. It doesn’t have quite as large of a collection as some of the top FAST services, but there’s enough to keep you entertained. Here’s the full menu:

To experience the free Philo channels, you can either download their app on your preferred device or visit their website here.
There is no credit card or login required to enjoy the free channels. You’ll be able to browse these channels via the same “guide” menu that Philo provides for its pay product.
So, even if you don’t subscribe, you get familiar with the look and feel of their premium product by using their FAST channels.

Will you be trying out Philo’s free channels? We’d love to hear what you think of them in the Clark.com community.
