Total Wireless Deal: Unlimited for $25 When You Bring Your Phone – Technologist

Now through October 11, new customers who switch to Total Wireless and keep their own phone can save 50% on the Total 5G Unlimited Plan. That brings the monthly price to $25 for unlimited cell phone service!

In this article, I’ll take a closer look at Total Wireless’ latest deal including how to activate your service, what you’ll get for the price and how Total Wireless compares to other low-cost cell phone service providers.

Save 50% on a Total Wireless Unlimited Plan

Total Wireless (Team Clark’s Review) currently offers three unlimited cell phone plans. Total 5G Unlimited is marketed as Total Wireless’ “Best Value” plan. It typically costs $50 for one line with autopay. However, now through October 11, new customers who switch to Total Wireless and bring their own cell phone can get the same plan for $25/month for the first five years.

With this deal, you’ll save $25/month or $300/year. If you stay with Total Wireless for five full years, that’s a total savings of $1,500!

Here’s what you’ll get with Total 5G Unlimited:

  • Unlimited nationwide talk, text and data
  • Unlimited access to Verizon’s 5G Ultra Wideband network (requires a capable device in the 5G Ultra Wideband coverage area)
  • 15GB mobile hotspot
  • International calling to 85+ destinations
  • International texting to 200+ destinations
  • 10GB international roaming in 15+ countries
  • Disney+ (no ads) for 6 months
  • After 12 monthly plan payments, get $200 on your next 5G phone

To get Total 5G Unlimited for $25/month, you’ll have to switch to Total Wireless and bring your own device. You can check your phone’s compatibility and take advantage of this deal online or visit a Total Wireless store in your area.

After you switch, you’ll pay the full plan price without any discounts for the first month ($55). Beginning your second month of service, you’ll receive a $25 monthly plan discount plus a $5 autopay discount. Autopay is required for this deal. After the discounts, your monthly bill will be $25 for the first five years. After five years, the plan rate will return to normal.

Total Wireless is a prepaid wireless provider; you can cancel your service anytime. You can learn more about Total Wireless in my full review here.

Total Wireless: An Affordable Verizon Wireless MVNO

If you aren’t familiar with Total Wireless, it’s a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) that uses Verizon Wireless’ towers to provide cell phone service to customers.

Compared to other Verizon Wireless MVNOs, total Wireless doesn’t offer the most competitive regular rates on an unlimited phone plan. However, with the current promotion ($25 for Total 5G Unlimited), Total Wireless’ price is hard to beat.

To compare, here are a few of our other favorite unlimited cell phone plans for one line:

  • Visible (Review): Unlimited plans on Verizon’s network begin at $25/month. Visible+ costs $45 monthly and includes unlimited access to Verizon’s 5G Ultra Wideband network, just like Total Wireless’ Total 5G Unlimited plan. While Visible’s regular rates are cheaper, Total Wireless’ current promotion makes it a much better deal.
  • US Mobile (Review): Monthly unlimited plans begin at $25 for 35GB of premium data. Unlimited Premium includes 100GB of premium data for $44/month or $390/year ($32.50/month). You can choose any network when you switch to US Mobile.
  • Boost Mobile (Review): Partnering with AT&T and T-Mobile, Boost Mobile offers a basic unlimited plan with 30GB of premium data for $25/month. If you’re shopping for a new phone instead of bringing your own, Boost Mobile is currently offering a free year of service on this plan when you buy an eligible 5G device.
  • Mint Mobile (Review): On T-Mobile’s network, Mint Mobile offers an unlimited plan for as cheap as $30/month when you prepay for a year in advance ($360 upfront). However, new customers can get the same plan for $15/month for the first three months.

Compared to Verizon Wireless’ postpaid unlimited plans, Total Wireless offers cheaper prices for unlimited access to the same network. Verizon Wireless’ most affordable plan, Unlimited Welcome, costs $65 for one line with autopay.
