US Mobile Now Offers Apple Watch Connectivity – Technologist

US Mobile offers excellent prices on unlimited cell phone plans as well as plans for light data users. Now, Apple Watch users can also add connectivity. Plus, customers on US Mobile’s Warp network can now enjoy Apple Watch connectivity for free with the Unlimited Premium plan.

In this article, I’ll take a closer look at US Mobile’s new Apple Watch plans, including who’s eligible, how much they cost and how they compare to other cell phone service providers with smartwatch plans.

US Mobile’s Unlimited Premium Now Includes Apple Watch Connectivity

US Mobile (Team Clark’s Review) offers a variety of phone plans ranging from 2GB of high-speed data to unlimited. Additionally, US Mobile customers can choose which network they’d like to access for service. This month, US Mobile announced new Apple Watch plans that allow customers to stay connected via their smartwatch.

Here’s what you’ll get with US Mobile’s Apple Watch plan: 

• Unlimited talk, text and data
• Wi-Fi Calling
• Instant eSIM activation
• 24/7 customer support

US Mobile offers two types of Apple Watch plans: companion and standalone. Companion plans partner with an existing phone plan and sync with your iPhone while standalone plans work independently without a phone plan. Both companion and standalone plans have the same price: $9.50/month or $78/year ($6.50/month).

However, you can get US Mobile’s Apple Watch plan for free with the Unlimited Premium plan on US Mobile’s Warp network (Verizon). Customers on US Mobile’s Dark Star (AT&T) or Light Speed (T-Mobile) networks can still add the Apple Watch plan to Unlimited Premium, but it’s only included for free to customers on the Warp network.

How US Mobile’s New Apple Watch Plan Compares

US Mobile offers one of the cheapest phone plans available (2GB of high-speed data for $10/month or $96/year) as well as competitive prices on unlimited phone plans ($25/month or $210/year). Additionally, customers can switch between three different networks to receive the best coverage.

Whether or not you opt for a cell phone plan from US Mobile, you can now get Apple Watch connectivity for as low as $6.50/month. Unlimited Premium customers on US Mobile’s Warp network now have Apple Watch connectivity included for free.

To compare, here are a couple of other affordable cell phone service providers that offer smartwatch connectivity:

• Visible (Team Clark’s Review): Unlimited phone plans begin at $25/month with smartwatch service available for $10/month. Visible+ costs $35/month or $395/year ($32.92/month) and includes smartwatch connectivity for free.
• Google Fi Wireless (Team Clark’s Review): Cell phone plans begin as low as $20/month plus $10 per GB with the Flexible plan, which includes full connectivity for select smartwatches. Unlimited Plus costs $65 for one line and includes unlimited smartwatch connectivity for free.

The Big Three (AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon) also offer smartwatch connectivity plans for $11-$15 at regular rates. Currently, T-Mobile is offering a smartwatch plan deal for $5/month with the Go5G Next plan ($100/month for one line). Otherwise, T-Mobile smartwatch plans begin at $12/month. 

Verizon also offers a smartwatch plan discount to select customers. Verizon’s unlimited plan for Apple and Android watches costs $15 at regular rates. However, Unlimited Plus ($80/month for one line) customers get 50% off one device plan and Unlimited Ultimate ($90/month for one line) customers get 50% off two device plans. That brings the cost of Verizon’s unlimited smartwatch plan to $7.50.

Ultimately, US Mobile’s smartwatch plan offers the most competitive rate: $6.50/month when you prepay annually. Plus, customers on the Warp network with the Unlimited Premium plan get the same connectivity for free. US Mobile’s Unlimited Premium plan costs $44/month or $390/year ($32.50).
