Valley Visa Secured Business Credit Card Review 2024 – Forbes Advisor – Technologist
Valley Visa® Secured Business Credit Card* vs. Bank of America® Business Advantage Unlimited Cash Rewards Secured credit card*
The Bank of America® Business Advantage Unlimited Cash Rewards Secured credit card* is similar to the Valley Visa Secured Business Card in that it’s a secured card that offers a simple, cash-back rewards program for business owners. However, it’s a more rewarding choice because you can earn 1.5% cash back on all purchases instead of Valley Visa’s 1% cash back. Additionally, it works like most secured cards in that you can choose your credit limit, starting at a minimum of $1,000 up to a maximum of $10,000.
Plus, the card comes with additional benefits you won’t get with the Valley Visa Secured Business Card including $100,000 in travel accident insurance, lost luggage assistance while traveling, and legal and medical referrals when you’re traveling. Although it lacks the intro APR offer of the Valley Visa Secured Business card, the Bank of America is the better choice for most given that it earns higher rewards and you can choose the amount of your credit limit.
Valley Visa® Secured Business Credit Card* vs. Business Edition® Secured Mastercard® Credit Card*
The Business Edition® Secured Mastercard® Credit Card* doesn’t offer rewards and has a $39 annual fee, making the Valley Visa Secured Business Card the better choice between the two if you’re a business owner with shaky credit.
Both cards require approval to determine your potential credit limit, but the FNBO Business Secured card’s limit is $10,000 to the Valley Visa’s potential $25,000. The FNBO Business Secured card does offer several perks including zero liability coverage, secondary auto rental coverage and access to discounts through the Mastercard Easy Savings program but arguably the card’s greatest selling point is that you’ll earn interest on your deposit, unlike the Valley Visa Secured card. That’s still not a strong enough reason to pay an annual fee and forgo rewards. If you were trying to decide between the two, the Valley Visa Secured Business card is the clear winner.
Valley Visa® Secured Business Credit Card* vs. Capital One® Spark® Classic for Business*
If your credit is more in the just-OK than needing SOS category, look to an unsecured business card aimed at those with fair credit like the Capital One® Spark® Classic for Business*. There’s no annual fee and the card earns 1% cash back on every purchase and 5% cash back on hotels and rental cars booked through Capital One Travel. It also comes with benefits including the ability to integrate with several common business software programs, free employee cards and extended warranty coverage.
There’s no intro APR offer with the Spark Classic card, but you also won’t have to fork over a big security deposit which is likely to be more beneficial for the majority of people seeking a small business card.
